To be an effective representative
and leader, it is important for one to be involved in local and state organizations, boards, committees and councils in order
to truly understand the issues that impact the citizens of his community and/or state.
I have been involved for a number
of years with a variety of local and state organizations, boards, committees and councils because I want to be aware of the
services/programs they provide, the delivery of services, equal access to services and how these services impact the
citizens of our great state.
In an effort to be involved in services
that impact the citizens of West Virginia, I am a member of the following organizations:
-
Chamber of Commerce
- Kevin L. Maynus understands the importance of local businesses to West Virginia’s
economy.
-
National
Federation of the Blind - and other disability organizations - Kevin L. Maynus knows and has lived
with the barriers people with disabilities face on a daily basis. He has always been and will continue to be their
voice
-

the university.
